Sweet Lazy Life was born from the spirit of our sweet Yogi, the laziest, happiest dog.

He came into our lives unexpectedly, after being left without a home. From the moment we met him, we knew he was meant to stay. His calm presence softened even our busiest days and reminded us that love can be quiet, that joy can live in stillness, and that life is sweetest when we slow down enough to feel it.

In those early years, we used Sweet Lazy Life to share the daily life of our dogs, Sammy and Yogi, through photos, videos, and artwork that we would incorporate into different projects. Over time, the name became more than a phrase, a way of living. It became a reminder to move gently through the world, to create with intention, and to find meaning in simplicity.

When Yogi passed, we wanted his light to reach beyond our home. What began as a wish to raise awareness for mitral valve disease, the condition that affected him, grew into something deeper. It became a devotion to helping animals in the places closest to our hearts, those with the least chance of survival. Over the years, we have supported small rescue centers in Peru and Colombia that care for animals who face illness and the cruelty of being without a home. These centers give them warmth, safety, and the second chance every soul deserves. We know there is more to do, and we will keep finding ways to care for those who need us most.

In December 2022, life brought us Lola. We were not looking for another dog, but she arrived as if she had always been meant to find us. She is the sweetest surprise life has given us.

Thousands of years ago, humans and wolves chose each other. We offered safety and food, and they offered loyalty and companionship. Over time, we shaped them to depend on us because we needed them first. Somewhere along the way, many forgot that promise. Sweet Lazy Life exists to remember it, to honor that bond, to give back what was given to us, and to keep Yogi’s light alive alongside the joy of Sammy, who still fills our home, and Lola, our gentle reminder that love always finds its way back. Through compassion, connection, and the quiet belief that love, in all its forms, never really leaves.
